Universal Laws

Law of Energy

Scientific laws of physics demonstrate that your physical world is made of energy. If you were to break down everything you see around you, including yourself, into smaller and smaller particles you would end up with very small, subatomic particles, which is pure energy. Everything in the world is comprised of energy and we are intimately connected with this sea of energy. So even though things seem to be solid and separate around you, on the atomic and subatomic levels, everything blends together in one big energy soup.

So how does this pertain to you and your success? Since everything is made of energy (including you) then your goals, your relationships, your happiness and your health are affected by the Laws of Physics. More importantly, once you understand these Laws, you can predictably create your goals and successes.

Something important to consider, since energy is at the core of all of your experiences, how much energy you think is available to you influences your choices. Most people think they have only a limited amount and are therefore operating on the premise that there may be a shortage of energy. However, the truth is there is more than enough and in fact according to the Laws of physics there is even a surplus.

Let’s look at how the Law of Energy applies to your day to day experiences.

  1. Where do you expend a significant amount of energy everyday?
  2. What fuels your decision making?

Law of Cognition and Emotion

When you combine the Law of Energy with the fact that you have a 24/7 ongoing conversation inside your head you now understand the power of The Law of Cognition and Emotion. Research shows you think approximately 60,000 thoughts per day. Now this is a lot of energy expenditure. This is one primary way you access the Law of Energy. Your thoughts and emotions reflect your values, beliefs and motivations that in turn fuel your actions. What you find important in your life is what you consciously and unconsciously choose to focus on. The world is filled with evidence that supports your beliefs. In other words, optimists are confirmed in their optimism, and pessimists are confirmed in their habits of thought also. You have an abundance of performance potential available to you from this perspective. You just need to observe and tap into the quality of conversations you are having about yourself, your performance, your work situations, your goals and your relationships.

“The most important conversation you will ever have is the one you are having with yourself.” Dennis Waitely Ph.D.

Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction points to the manner in which you channel your 60,000 thoughts and coupled emotions. You emit ‘thought’ energy. As such, the thoughts in your head do not stay in your head.  Rather, they are actually transmitted from your body like a radio transmitter signal. Consequently, your thoughts and emotions are magnetically attracting whatever is in their likeness.  If you think about something long enough, you actually attract ideas, resources and people related to these thoughts.  This explains why when someone is thinking a lot about a person, that very person can call, send an email or show up out of the blue.  What you focus on is what you see. Have you ever had the experience of buying a new car and all of the sudden you start to see a large number of these cars on the road? It is not that all of the sudden massive numbers of people are buying them, rather it is more that you are looking for them unconsciously and you are finding them. If you were to look in your relationships for what you want, you will be more likely to find it.  This also explains why it is important to identify your goals, clarify why they are important to you and visualize yourself achieving them.
